Any honest individual who has broken someone’s heart or had their own heart broken will recognize a need for grace. The idea that the offenses we’ve caused are not nails in a final coffin allows for a particular kindness to flourish between people. While our actions have consequences, if we accept Grace as an idea, we may not be ultimately condemned for those actions which we recognize to be offensive in the grander scheme of things. What if grace wasn’t recognized? Can you imagine how much pressure there would be to be perfect in every interaction? How quick would the rise of legalism be? How much stress would come of it? How much would the pain of offenses be amplified? Would there even be a chance of reconciliation? #makeyourworld
